Color Envy

ARG.

I’m looking at Wacom’s new lineup of Cintiqs because I want to start saving towards one of the nice, big displays. I’m tired of working on my tiny Cintiq; my tolerance for the lack of real estate has dropped since using the nice BIG Cintiq at work. It’s more comfortable to paint and draw when I’m not constantly zooming in and out.

Trouble is, while I think I could save towards a new Cintiq just fine, I’m VERY ANNOYED that the model with proper color management is a frickin’ touch screen.

Really Wacom? Your professional industry tablet with all the bells and whistles is the one with a TOUCH SCREEN? I don’t need a touch screen Cintiq. In fact, it’s a liability for me. Smearing hand oils all over the screen wouldn’t be helpful to my workflow.

But if you’re going to that, fine. Maybe some folks like a touch screen. I wouldn’t know since I’m not in your marketing department gathering information for your R&D work. But can I at least purchase a Cintiq with that awesome color management WITHOUT the touch screen? You want me to shell out another $1100 just to get that Adobe RGB gamut? The kind of thing you should have been offering a long ass time ago?

Dammit Wacom, I like your products but this is the ONE HUGE HANGUP I have about your Cintiqs. The hangup that severely impacts my workflow. Throw me a motherfucking bone, guys!
