Been a bit too meh lately to feel like exploring the darker side of things…so here’s a concept comic set during the second arch. By here, Lamia and The Cat’s relationship evolves into “divorcees”. A very reluctant acceptance of the fact they can’t get along, but need to for the sake of their shared investments. Namely, the “family” they have: High Society. Michael kind of goes wayyyyy downhill following some pretty extreme events and pretty much just gives up pretending to give a shit. But he kind of NEEDS to give a shit, or else he can’t do his job right. Lamia however doesn’t want to play his keeper. She’s grown independent and left him a while back and doesn’t want reminders of the abuse she suffered. Forgiveness and moving forward is still something she’s working on and every second spent anywhere near him is a test of the patience she’s steadily building. Shit sucks, basically. But things move forward more than back, at least.
