Both birds out on leashes for the first time together, second time on their leashes each. MUCH easier to get it on them the second time, both because I was more experience and they, while not happy to have a loop placed over their heads, were far better about the process. They’re both very good about letting me adjust the band so it’s snug and comfy. Dog came out too but she’s not in the pic. So three leashed animals at once. Woo!

Noticed this bare patch on Isaac and it dearly concerns me. There’s been no changes in our routine lately, so I’m not sure if she’s plucking or this is hormonal. She seems very happy, she eats plenty, and she had a check up recently. Enzo has no similar patches and they do not play in a way that would have feathers be removed. Her vent looks normal. Clint is home most the day so she has company. If it’s plucking, I’ll be home more after the 10th and hopefully that will resolve it. If it’s hormones, that makes sense too as she is the broodier and more feminine of my caiques. I dearly hope she’s not distressed. I got an aviator harness so she could go outside safely. She seemed to take to it well. Ohhh I don’t want to be a bad bird mama :(

One of my bosses brought in his two month old rat. This little guy sat on my shoulder making wee bipbip whispers and stroking his whiskers. He held still just so I could take his picture, wrapped up in his daddy’s scarf. Real doll of a baby rat. Makes me want one real bad.

Best part of Psychfest was this awesome bully dog who was part of Bootleg Theater. She just wandered around begging for treats and belly rubs then crashed on a couch by the entrance. Super mellow pup.
